Emily

April 3rd, 2009

Hey! My name is Emily, and I’m pretty much just your stereotypical 16 year old girl. I have a boyfriend who I’m pretty serious with, his name is Eli. He lives in a small town in Nebraska, which is about 10 hours away. He is one of the most important things in my life right now, and hopefully it will remain that way for the rest of my life. Another huge thing, even bigger than Eli, is church. I’m pretty involved in my youth group and thats where my very best friends are from. They all go to a different school, which is kind of a bummer. Something that you may or may not yet know, is that starting at the end of this summer, I will be homeschooling for my junior/senior year. I’m planning on graduating a year early, and spending that last year at home with mom as my teacher. The public schools are doing a lot of curriculum changes and I would have to basically be dumbing myself down, so I decided I would much rather just be at home. Plus, I get to sleep in. :) I also just recently (as in a less than a month ago) started driving. It’s pretty exciting, and very nerve racking, for both me and mom. I will end up getting my license a month, to the day, after I turn 17, so I’ve got a while to go. Enough time to get better at it. As far as future plans go, I want to be a missionary in a spanish speaking country, and work with the native children to help them have a better life. My dream would be to open up an orphanage type facility, where kids who either don’t have parents or their parents can’t afford to take care of them, would come and live. They would also get schooling and food and healthcare, along with learning about God. So, at this point, the plan is to go to Lincoln Christian College, where I will get a degree in mission work. I think I’ve covered all the bases. If you have any questions or want to know anything more, just email me!

    • Stacey’s PAD - This WAS my 365 project, but it’s been abandoned. However, in my blogroll there is a list of some great mom photographers I met online. It’s an extra click, but worth checking out.
    • The Pioneer Woman - She is her own description. I love her recipes, her stories…just love to read her.
    • Vegan Linda - I had no idea what a vegan was until I met Linda. She’s an amazing person who inspires me to do better.
