One tooth down, one to go

Jonah is way late in losing his front two teeth. Like 2 years late. It’s been very traumatic. The one finally missing has been hanging by just a small bit for quite a while. The problem is that created sharp edges where the top of the tooth had already let go. Every time that tooth moved, those edges bit into his very tender gums. Many, many tears were shed over this tooth. Finally, we convinced him to let us pull it out. Well, that actually didn’t work. That bit that was attached, was attached quite strongly. So, I called the dentist. Made an appointment to have them pulled. That was last week. Yesterday, I ran out for a bit, and when I got home, he greeted me at the door all excited to show me his new gap. Turns out Ian is all it took. Ian slammed Jonah in the face with a toy and it caused the tooth to come out. It also caused Jonah to swallow the tooth… he thinks. Because he never saw it. I’m not hunting for it. His gap will not be a gap for long as the adult tooth is already well on it’s way. You can see the entire bottom edge of it. Now, just need the other to come out. I told Jonah I was not cancelling his appointment like he wanted. It’s coming out, one way or another. He’s got 7 days…..

It’s been a while and I’ve got about half a dozen posts in the can right now. I’ll hopefully get to them soon. I wanted to get this video up. For those who don’t know, the iPhone uses a touch screen that you can swipe to get to other screens. Ian is quite familiar with how an iPhone works. We have Netflix and can watch stuff by streaming it from Netflix through our Xbox 360. Ian has been pretty spoiled lately since he’s dealing with chicken pox. So he was trying to tell me what movie he wanted to watch. He apparently thought that he could just swipe the TV screen to get to movies further down on the list. I helped him along by using the controller, which is how you REALLY scroll through the videos, to move based on what he was doing with his hands. It was just too funny!
